Over the years, parish churches have produced various documents that contain a wealth of information of use to those researching family history or local history.

Parish Archive is designed as a focal point for using parish-generated material for genealogy and local history research, describing the various parish historical resources that are available, and providing links to associated data sources.

The site is maintained by Yesterday's Names, who produce parish magazine data on CD, but the aim here is to provide a general source of information, rather than just a sales pitch for our own products!

There are sections for each of the main types of information produced at the parish level ... parish registers and other parish chest content, parish memorials, parish magazines & other publications, church artifacts, and parish ephemera.

This site is at an early stage of development, so do please bookmark us, and keep checking back to see what we've added.
